Handmade Birthday Card

Today is my boyfriend's birthday and I felt a bit inspired to make a card from scratch. I got the original idea from Pinterest and elaborated on the idea. I had some extra twine laying around so I used a bit of that too.

Do you note a slit in the middle of the card? I'm burning Mike a CD and it actually will pop out of there when he opens the card! The idea was taken from this photo:

I wish I could give you the resource I got this from, but I saved this photo a while back from my computer. If you know where it is from, let me know! I thought the creator of this concept was so ingenious! Here are some other angles of my card and envelope!
